Newt is not going to be the nominee, and he's not going to have anything on his desk. Actually, he has endorsed Romney.
At some point we have to deal with reality, even if it's not our ideal.
While Romney drifts about looking for soundbites with which to govern, he will find polite, timid support from the GOP elite placeholders in Congress, but full tilt disdain from conservatives, and 24/7 broadsides from a psychotic media.
Like a non-swimmer tossed into the deep end of the pool he will thrash about and grasp at anything to keep his Presidency afloat, much like Hussein is doing now.
It does not bode well for our republic. But, as you say, we must deal with reality.
