Somebody’s going to be scarred for life.
I’m sorry but if you’re toilet trained and have teeth, you damn well better not be sucking on mommy’s booby anymore.
Is someone else’s mommy’s booby OK?
Babies generally do not bite when they nurse, most have lots of teeth by one year old, breastfeeding is still beneficial for months after that time.

Nobody has any business telling a mother when to stop breastfeeding her own child. That is the mother's decision, and nobody else's. Anecdotally, I have a very close friend whose wife nursed her son well into his three's, and the young man is one of the most intelligent, well-balanced individuals I have ever met.
Just because most mothers may stop much earlier doesn't mean there's some kind of scarring which occurs, unless it be the mother's poor, tooth-abused nipples.
I'm not aware of any evidence that prolonged breastfeeding causes any social or developmental disadvantage whatsoever. And even if it did, there's quite enough social engineering going on in this country already. I'm quite confident that we don't need a national debate about this. Or even a forum debate, for that matter...
