Hockey is an audience participation sport. Our local college team has the “he shoots he scores hey goalie you suck” tradition. It’s fun. They can hear you. Some opposing goaltenders that have dealt with it before play along, I’ve seen guys “conduct” it, one the Hulk Hogan ear thing. If you don’t want anybody yelling mean things during the game watch golf. Hockey is a blue collar sport for blue collar people that like beer and yelling.
