In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
untenable; adj. click the word for pronunciation
1. incapable of being defended, as an argument, thesis, etc.; indefensible. 2. not fit to be occupied, as an apartment, house, etc

The problem with using an Amendment to eliminate Prohibition - which should have never gotten written in the firstpalce! - is that, if an amendament can make the 19th untenable, an amendment can make the the 10th untenable, the 9th untenable, the 8th untenable, the 7th untenable ....
