I read something recently about a guy somewhere in Europe (I think it was Norway but I'm unsure) that was ticketed for doing 150mph or so.In that country speeding fines are calculated by a formula which combines speed and the driver's income.The guy was rich so he got something like a $500K fine.
Not so much here in the US.
In the case you are referring to, it was Denmark and $200K the person was fined.
However, they just wrote the government a check and left because their annual income was $11.5 million. It wasn’t that serious a fine for them.
