At least Kerry had three purple hearts. Mostly for grains of rice in the butt, but still he had em.

Its easy to get a purple heart when you write your own after-action reports. He never shed a drop of blood, btw. Glad you think he deserved those medals. Says a lot about you.

Kerry's trick was to stand just outside the casualty radius of an exploding M-79 round he'd fired and catch a few metal splinters that had lost most of their energy. On a riverine mission with the army Kerry and a soldier found a cache of rice stored in jars. They destroyed the rice using hand grenades. Kerry did not retire fast enough to avoid being hit by rice shrapnel. He was able to massage that comedy into a third Purple Heart. Like his hero JFK, kerry’s three months in combat was choreographed from Boston by the Irish political machine.
