Guthrie was introduced to the California area by Will Geer (remember Grandpa Walton?) who was a homosexual communist activist. These early years of folk music tradition set the stage for the mass 60's movement of folk literature. Seeger (a self-admitted communist) was a leader in Greenwich Village in the 60's when Peter, Paul, Mary, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell etc. took off. Amazing how it fits together.

Do you happen to know where her school district stands with Net Current Expenditures (NCE) per Pupil *(NCEP)*?
The fact that they are They are *in the TOP 2% for Elementary schools for academics in the state.* speaks wonders.
A large urban district I am familiar with up here in CT, has a NCEP of $81,451 ...and must be in the bottom 2% of performance.
Much has been said about blaming teachers for performance up her, of late, when your wife well knows, it’s the value the parents/family place on education.
Sorry that NCEP number should be $18,100.25!!! Oops!
