Well since you pinged me about the French cat video, I thought I would repay the favor with this Cat & Dolphin video.

Here is a thought question: it is pretty obvious that the cat and dolphin each perceive the encounter as at least not aggressive, maybe benign. As humans we attribute the observed behavior to the concept of "play."

My question is, how would a cat and a dolphin, two very different species, with no apparent commonality with which to communicate, mutually understand that they are "playing" and not seeing a potential predator or prey in the other?
