RIVERVIEW, Fla. - An adult bobcat caused quite a scene around 8:30 Thursday morning on US 301 just south of Symmes Rd. in Riverview.
A 911 took a call from a motorist.
"People are trying to catch a bobcat in the median. A bobcat? Yea, there's a bobcat and everybody's getting out of their cars and they're trying to catch this cat," said the unidentified female driver.

We used to have a florida panther around here too. It was eating a lot of the wild hogs. The panther got hit by a car too, but nobody tried to pick it up.
a person that started in to carry a cat home by the tail was getting knowledge that was always going to be useful to him, and warn’t ever going to grow dim or doubtful.

Some years ago my girlfriend's father hit an adult deer fullblast while driving down the highway. He got out of the car and said he was going to help the deer. As he neared the deer, the driver of another vehicle that had stopped after seeing the deer get hit told him to stay away from the animal. I couldn't believe it, but the deer eventually got to its feet and hobbled off the road. I thought for sure the deer had been killed outright in the collision. It's a good thing somebody shouted at my gfs pappy, or he could have gotten seriously hurt by the deer as it struggled to get up.
I live maybe 2 miles from that intersection....
I am very surprised a bobcat was injured there....
The area is not very rural....basically open area between housing developments ....this is not back country at all....
....and you would have to be a complete idiot or a liberal ( but. I repeat myself ) to approach a bobcat at all....
cute picture!
Had a little one run into my tire once. Wife wanted me to go check on it. I just pointed to the fence line, where momma was pacing back and forth and said she would take car of it.
Little thing finally got up and wobbled off. Bet he learned not to tangle with a Ford p/u again.
“We used to believe that mountain lions wouldn’t attack people.”
Same with wolves, I always instictively knew that was nonsense.

Having taken lots of pre-bite and 3 after-bite series of rabies shots, I know that you better not take them in the butt. The vaccine can't get thru the fatty tissue and one guy I knew died of rabies by insisting they give them in the butt.
If there is a question , put the animal down to test the brain. I wouldn't trust quarantine.

**How about we euthanize the idiot, and let the bobcat live.**
**What a dumass! definitely a liberal dumbocrap!**
