In light of the suspension of the Santorum campaign, there are those of us disillusioned by our choices for President this year. So a new 3rd party will be formed.

For those of us who are tired of being fed the cr*p that the parties are dishing out to us, a new party is coming to fruition. It is called the party of Those Upset with the Democrats and Republicans, or the TURD party.

You’ve mixed your R and D — but can you get a facebook or twitter account?

If Romney gets the nomney, this may end up not being a joke.

" It is called the party of Those Upset with the Democrats and Republicans, or the TURD party."

I can see it now:

Tee shirts, bumper stickers, yard signs, buttons.....

The false assumption we too often make is thinking that the average Conservative voter thinks just like us here on FR. They don’t. Truth is, the average Republican voters are not political junkies like we are. They don’t read or post comments on conservative forums, and their time listening to conservative talk radio is far less than us. In short, they don’t have the same amount of things influencing their decisions as we do. This is why at my caucus table of 11 good people from my own neighborhood The vote tally was:

Romney 7
Santorum 1
Paul 1
Undecided 2
Newt 0

That is why Romney is the runaway leader and why any talk here of a third party, is meaningless. We are either going to join the movement to send Obama back to Chicago, or we’re not.

Many of us attended the South Hampton Institute of Technology.

It’s already being done. Doug Schoen is filing for entry on the ballot in all 50 States for a new party, candidate yet to be determined although Schoen would like to get someone like Jon Huntsman on the ticket.

After this election I am going to work with the Tea Party big time. No more fuddy duddies whose positions you can’t figure out. No more politicians that don’t believe in the Holiness of Marriage. No more politicians that take our freedoms away.

I predicted about a year ago here on FR that the Repubs will finish 3rd in 2016 and will not exist as a national party in 2020....and good riddance.
God, please send us someone with some balls.

Let me make a correction. It should read Those Upset with the Republicans and Democrats. I accidentally reversed them.

Entirely true.

Though do remember, the very political active people have far more influence than the regular folks. Your ability to politically shape events because of your involvement in the issues far outweighs those 11 good people you mentioned.

That is why Romney is the runaway leader and why any talk here of a third party, is meaningless.

Of course that is true, but we have to go through the 3rd party nonsense every 4 years. That will fade as we get closer to the election and by election night we will all be glued to our monitors hoping Hussein is defeated.

Try this:

We've hopefully learned the lesson we assumed had been dropped from the program in 2008;
No matter how bad the result, the GOP will find another "next in line"/"good old boy" non-conservative to run time after time after time.
Conservatives MUST stop prophesying another Reagan just because they got lucky one time!

So, what to do?

How about totally supporting the Mitster in 2012...at least we might rid ourselves of another Bummer administration<
And you can bet that Mittie will be inundated with pain from the left no matter how he tries to "bridge the gap"... he won't be getting much done either way over his four years.
Best case, some erosion of the socialist onslaught.

Beginning on the first Wednesday of November 2012, we begin work on an honest to God third party - a Constitutional and ethical party.

Actually work for it, rather than expecting reality to change the GOP, because it won't happen.
Work to build up support for an honest third party run in 2016.

Worst that can happen is an Obama win in '12, but not because Conservatives encouraged it.
Best case is a Romney/GOP win that fails to change much of anything we see today...and growing support for the conservative alternative the next time around.

Oh.
Yeah.
Keep checking the Sunday papers' inserts, Big 5 has some pretty good deals on shotguns.

Many people have had it. I have spoken to dems who would have jumped party, but won’t for Romney, even though they HATE Obama!

Too Soon for 3rd Party—BUT if the GOP blows it and Mittens loses to Obama—the Republican party should be blamed for everything Obama does—they enabled it with their selection of Mitt and the reduction of good people like Newt, Palin, Cain, etc... Then a 3rd party must be formed—a true Anti-Democrat Party—a true Tea Party. The GOP must be scraped and replaced. Time for formation December! A convention should be held in Texas—discuss session !!!
