commonsense predicts a society like the ancient Romans or Spartans where babies are left out to die if they are weak, etc. etc.
Christianity appeals to our higher moral natures. We can't just go by our commonsense
I am sorry, but the church today is nothing like the apostles and many early Christians who were tortured for their faith. And when you get on the real road of being saved, no imitation is needed as it is natural to live out the spirit of the comforter within. You are quite in your head about it all.
