I tuned in to watch Castle tonight. New show, Scandal, was on. Within the first 10 minutes, one of the main characters stated 'I hate Republicans'. So I turned it off.
Thanks for the warning. I hate shows that shove propaganda down our throats.
good decision. i’d do the same.
CASTLE is one of my favorite shows. And the program guide showed a new episode was going to be on, as did last week’s coming attraction. Needless to say, at 10:01 PM tonight I was one unhappy camper. I only lasted two minutes.
I won’t wach it either.
I tuned in a little late, and heard a guy who speaks at Republican functions be outed for being gay. That quickly, I was gone, never to return.
The left is opposed to diversity and promotes intolerance.
its 1939 for the American version of Nationalist Socialists Party.
Divide.
Hate.
Attack.
A decorated wounded military vet that was an outspoken conservative and was pondering a run for congress was accused of murdering his "girlfriend"
When it looks like he is guilty and is arrested, his legal team tracks down footage from a security camera meeting his boyfriend and sucking face with the guy on a public street.
The defense team comes to him with the discovery but the guy refuses to allow them to show the tape which would exonerate him but out him at the same time.
After sitting in jail he decides to out himself, gets off of the charges and has a big press conference in uniform surrounded by fellow soldiers who all now celebrate his lifestyle. Basically the repeal of DADT saves the day and all is right in the world, blah, blah, blah.
Sorry on the off chance that anyone was foolishly waiting to watch this later, but I just saved you an hour of life that you can't take back.
If I wasn't too lazy to walk 15 feet across the room to pick up the darn remote, I would have saved myself the unpleasant experience and a lot of typing.
They probably thought of naming the show “Good Washington Bitches” but changed their minds after noticing the initials...
The lead chick is hot. who cares....
Tune out that broadcast tv manure. Broadcast stations are against responsible citizenry. It’s mass programmed garbage. I can’t watch any of it without feeling disgusted. There are a few shows on premium that do honest portrayals anymore. I can wait for them on DVD.
Try not returning to ABC at all! These scum don’t deserve any validation.
They think most “normal” people naturally hate Republicans. I have little doubt they believe nearly all Republican hoi pollio live out in the boondocks and have no televisions. After all, we can’t doubt them because they are smart and highly cosmopolitan.
Castle is a great show. That Scandal is looks like real Leftist garbage. The lead in that turd is a woman named Kerry Washington. She is a hack appointee for the Regime.

Ditto fiction writers. I throw the books out. Get a clue, writers. You may have talent but more than half your audience is offended when your agenda shows up in an otherwise good story.
Its very hard not to let your personal prejudices come out of your writing, but you really do have to try.
The clue is that half of the TV audience may very well be Republican, but almost none of the producers, directors and studio executives are, and they are the ones who determine what goes in. It does no good for a writer to produce the most realistic and fabulous conservative characters or dialogue if the "powers that be" simply refuse to include it.
I suffered through it; why I do not know.
I was a little off-put by the “I hate Republicans” but it is par for the course for Hollywood. When the soldier turned out to be gay, I was reassured that ABC was not veering from their all gay, all the time formula.
Funny thing, the episode didn’t resolve the murder of his fiancee—nobody cared about her once the Marine came out of the closet. Crappy writing on many levels.
One of the favorite tropes of a lot of lib tv writers during the last Bush presidency was to have average Americans, even military personnel, say how much they hated Bush and the Iraq war. If a conservative figure is depicted, he or she is frequentlyly portrayed as a religious fundamentalist, or a gun nut, or both.
