Dodd also let slip some interesting snippets on the arrest of Kim Dotcom, who is currently awaiting extradition over charges related to the Megaupload file-sharing site. The MPAA chieftain quoted a discussion with an unnamed Justice Department official whom he met at his daughter's school, who said that the DoJ had been waiting for Dotcom's birthday party before striking, so that the team behind Megaupload would all be present. Nothing like slipping your surprise attack date.
The Obama administration has surrendered the War On Terror but has given charge of copyright enforcement to Homeland Security. Seems they still have people all too willing to leak classified information, regardless of what they think it's their job to protect.

"I regret that Steve Jobs isn't around today. At least he understood the connection between content and technology," Dodd said Oh really? Steve Jobs fought the RIAA tooth and nail to first drop ultra-restrictive DRM, and then to drop it altogether. The content industry has hated him for years.
Jobs understood content through technology to user, and that the user HATES the crap restrictions the MPAA and RIAA want piled on.

Between now and sometime next year [after the presidential election], the two industries need to come to an understanding."Of course, one has to understand that in Democrat "come to an understanding" means the same thing as "surrender all your rights for the benefit of my campaign contributors and get nothing in return" does in English. "Come to an understanding" means "one party gets hammered with legislation criminalizing their freedom so that the other side can perpetuate their business model". Asshat. Oxygen thief.

The wants and bribes of a few rich Hollywood entertainment executives are more important than the rights of 300+ million Americans. The USA Constitution is being high jacked by corporate interests and Chris Dowd and Mike Rogers - R Mo.
