As a climate scientist, I am quite familiar with the background facts that Prof Michael E. Mann (now at Penn State U) so shamelessly distorts in his new book The Hockey Stick and the Climate Wars: Dispatches from the Front Lines.
Mann's claim to fame derives from his contentious (and now thoroughly discredited) "hockeystick" research papers (in Nature 1998 and Geophysical Research Letters 1999).

BRAVO Professor Singer!!! Keep the global heat on Mann.
Michael Mann deserves to be a test subject for the CIA’s data extraction lab or whatever passes for that in China or Russia, whichever is worst. There isn’t any US prison which is bad enough.
bttt
That Mann failed to get tenure speaks volumes on what other academics think of him. Likely he received government money for his work and should be prosecuted for fraudulently obtaining his government grants.
Wrong.
There will be no substantive repercussions for the IPCC or anybody at the perpetually exempt UN. No one will be arrested. No one will be fired. No one will be reprimanded. I expect that whether they win or lose this case, the crooks at the UN will just laugh & laugh.
And Penn State can be counted upon to turn a blind eye to either.
Good luck with that.
Liberals clearly make up about 50% of the population. In any election, 48% - 52% vote Liberal. Rarely do we see lopsided election wins, especially conservative wins. Lopsided wins occur in districts where the population is in lockstep because of race or religion.
Too, conservative parents often spawn liberal children. Conservative parents often put their kids in private schools, where they are fed a steady diet of CRAP. Expensive colleges are often Liberal cesspools. Virtually the entire Education profession is radically liberal. So, don't expect ANY teacher in ANY school to teach conservatism.
Given that we must live with Liberals - they are often our family members, we must minimize the damage they do to society.
One way to do that is to minimize gov’t, especially Federal gov’t. We must end Federal involvement in health, education, welfare, & a host of other areas. Public employee unions must be outlawed. Congress should be part time - pass a budget, deal with emergencies, & go home. We don't need any more Jobs acts, fruit acts, sex acts, or any other acts for probably 100 years. The only act I support is the “Cut Government to the Bone” act.
Oh, we could also stop nominating RINOS for President. Our current crop of wannabes is I am not conservative, I am really not conservative, & I'm the biggest liar since Barack Obama, but my hair is perfect.
(If you put 20 pounds on Romney & dyed his hair blond, wouldn't he look just like Keith Olbermann.)
Thanks Twotone.
Thanks for the ping.
