Keith Olbermann released the following statement on his termination from Current TV:
I'd like to apologize to my viewers and my staff for the failure of Current TV.
Editorially, Countdown had never been better. But for more than a year I have been imploring Al Gore and Joel Hyatt to resolve our issues internally, while I've been not publicizing my complaints, and keeping the show alive for the sake of its loyal viewers and even more loyal staff. Nevertheless, Mr. Gore and Mr. Hyatt, instead of abiding by their promises and obligations and investing in a quality news program, finally thought it was more economical to try to get out of my contract.
It goes almost without saying that the claims against me implied in Current's statement are untrue and will be proved so in the legal actions I will be filing against them presently. To understand Mr. Hyatts values of respect, openness, collegiality and loyalty, I encourage you to read of a previous occasion Mr. Hyatt found himself in court for having unjustly fired an employee. That employees name was Clarence B. Cain.
In due course, the truth of the ethics of Mr. Gore and Mr. Hyatt will come out. For now, it is important only to again acknowledge that joining them was a sincere and well-intentioned gesture on my part, but in retrospect a foolish one. That lack of judgment is mine and mine alone, and I apologize again for it.
I gotta run to the store now, as I'm almost out of popcorn.
hahh!! this one sure made MY day.
Wow. He appears to be under the delusion that the events of his petty little squalid life are actually a matter of some import.
What a maroon.
Get a big bucket of popcorn, this is going to be fun to watch.
Moonbat vs Moonbat death cage match.
Kinda like the “sleep with dogs you get fleas” thing.
This clown Olbermann has been fired more times than I have fingers.
Conservatives proven correct.
Again.
LUNATIC
“It wasn’t my fault.”
“Well, it wasn’t MY fault.”
“Well, it certainly wasn’t MY fault.”
“OK, I’ll see you guys in court.”
Olbermann has a lot of nerve criticizing a Nobel Prize winner.
Of course, if Olbermann got only 10% of what his contract called for, he's a rich man.
HAH!
Calling out the Goron.
Since I never watched this bafoon on any network, I’ll bet he spewed a lot of venom at conservatives while defending Gore on his “global warming” BS.
Libs just can’t play well with others, especially other libs.
Don’t worry about it, Keith. Even your ratings were higher on msnbc that Al Sharpton. It may take ‘em a while, since he’s black, but there will be an opening if he keeps talking about I-Tee and Skittles.
Let’s see, this isn’t exactly the first time he has been fired by folks as politically radical as he is. The lawsuit against Gore is just about the most potentially entertaining thing in a long time.
What a great way to end a great week!!! The dems are losing on nearly every front...and it is getting worse for them!!!
There is nothing better than watching the left turn on itself and suffer horribly!
I just might buy stock (if it is available) in Orville Reddenbacker (sp?). LOL
ps. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy (all three of them). :)
Tough choice - Eco Nazi vs. Douche bag? There are no winners, only losers in this one.
Wow...2 Lefty nutcases in one week? Olberdork and Rosie Lardass?
I think it is more like "live with fleas, the dogs will avoid you".
