On MSNBCs Morning Joe, host Joe Scarborough delivered a devastating critique of conservative sites that have engaged in a coordinated effort to tarnish the reputation of Trayvon Martin in death.
Why is it that some on the right are actually taking this up as a cause, asked an incredulous Scarborough. As National Review said almost immediately after it happened, this has nothing to do with gun rights, this has nothing to do with the second amendment, this has nothing to do with stand your ground laws, this has nothing to do with the NRA. This has everything to do with a guy who is trying to play security cop, who is unhinged, who chased down and shot a 17-year-old kid armed with Skittles and iced tea.
Scarborough warned those yet-unmentioned conservative sites to heed the voices of more enlightened Republican opinion journals, like National Review, to not take this up as a cause. Scarborough refrained from naming Tucker Carlsons The Daily Caller, but he was clearly referencing their publication of Tryavon Martins Twitter feed.
Scarborough took particular issue with the efforts to posthumously paint Martin as a thug who deserved to be killed by virtue of his social media interactions. He lamented that some racist websites, but also sadly some fairly mainstream websites are actually going into Trayvon Martins social media pages, be it Twitter or MySpace, and their trying to find ominous looking picture while skipping over pictures of him holding up a birthday cake smiling, him fishing with his dad, him standing outside proudly of his home dressed in a tux ready to go to prom.
This is beneath contempt, said Scarborough. These people on the far right are being fools to try to make this a political issue.

Joe can KMA.
I will drop any Trayvon who assaults me with two in center mass.
The attacks on Zimmerman by the MSM is fine though?
(Cause we leftists are smarter and better at it.)
Who?
“Scarborough warned those yet-unmentioned conservative sites to heed the voices of more enlightened Republican opinion journals, like National Review, to not take this up as a cause.
Scar and NR can both bite me.
What about the dead girl in your office Joe? What about her?
Pretty bold for a guy who was involved in Laurie K’s death in Florida! Wanna relieve your soul about this now Joe before God condemns you to HELL!?
Joe, maybe you hadn't noticed but the Democrat President of the United States made this a political issue in the most personal way.
The press is refusing to use the recent photos of Trayvon, opting for a younger innocent look, while using the mug shot of Zimmerman. It's propagandizing.
I've read NBC edited audio of the 911 call to make Zimmerman appear racist by clipping the operator's request for a description of the suspicious person.
We have ABC News using blurry "security video" to "prove" Zimmerman wasn't injured while we know differently from the documentation.
We have our bedrock media outlets engaged in the most damaging kind of yellow journalism.
Is this NBC scumbag serious? Scarborough thinks it is conservatives who have pumped up this story into a national "cause"?? All I'm seeing from conservatives is an attempt to get at the truth and all sides of the Trayvon Martin story rather than just roll over with the rest of the guilty white cowards who helped elect the current POS-in-Chief to take their spanking from Democrat race hustlers.
I wouldn't be caught dead watching Scarborough's show, but it is very difficult for me to believe he actually uttered the above sentence. NOBODY could say anything so ludicrous. Nobody. People "on the far right" made the story "a political issue"?? No. He couldn't have said that. Sorry. I have to see the video to believe it.
Only a looney bin like MSNBC would think Joey is a conservative.
Joe is a politically correct house cracker for the klan with a tan and his race baiting for black rage against the “white” hispanic man is getting innocent people lynched and murdered by black racists. Joe has blood on his hands.
He should either call his klan wannabe dogs off or at least stop adding fuel to the fires of socialist race hate. He thinks he’s on that liberal “high moral ground” while he spills the blood of innocent people.
NBC’s actions are almost straight out of the Schwarzenegger film Running Man... Arnold was ordered to fire on a group of citizens from his helicopter. He wouldn't do it and became a fugitive. Later the video was cleverly edited to make it look like he was a villain who had killed a bunch of innocent people. The mob was then demanding retribution. If people are killed or injured by violence related to this situation... NBC and MSNBC should be held accountable for this blatant manipulation.
