This is my second posting of this link. They apparently changed the title and link although what is curious is that this is the original title and was posted 22 hours ago but the original link, with the title "Trayvon Martin's Girlfriend Hospitalized (DETAILS)" (http://globalgrind.com/news/trayvon-martins-girlfriend-hospitalized-details) was posted 15 hours ago.

It isn't exactly clear when his former girlfriend was hospitalized since the stated reason is she collapsed a day after his wake when she found out she was the last person to talk to Martin. The wake was some time ago so I am a little confused. I guess it is apparently true that her last conversation wasn't disclosed to the police until recently. Either way the story mentions that she has been subpoenaed for the April 10th grand jury.

As to the pictures - my take:

Or she's short, he's moderately tall, and the camera perspective accentuates the few feet of distance between them. Same for those standing at the extreme left in the rear compared to Trayvon who is nearer the one taking the picture. Also you have two people in the front stooping down which also makes him look taller.

I agree and I meant to mention that but no matter how tall he exactly is he is clearly a big, somewhat lanky guy. The picture on the moderately-sized horse really brings the point home.

Either way this release by the Martin/Fulton family eliminates anymore excuses for the media to show five-year-old photos so as to continue the narrative that this was a waif of a child.

What I really want to see is a video of Martin so that I can hear his voice. If it's a rather bassy one then that could easily be shown to have not been the voice heard on the 911 call screaming for help for over a minute before the gunshot (45 seconds on a 911 call recording where the caller says they were prompted by the screaming itself - so tack on at least 20 to grab a phone, call 911 and get through.)

That voice clearly sounds to me like Zimmerman at a desperate level compared to his voice on the original 911 call. If the Martin/Fulton family is so sure that is Trayvon's voice on that recording then we would have seen a video by now or heard something like a voice mail recording.

BTW - I read an older article from like the 16th where Trayvon's parents personally first heard the 911 call with the screaming and said that not only was it clearly Trayvon but that there had been TWO shots (one being a warning shot.) Now there is no evidence to support that claim and that is clear from the five calls I've heard that have witnesses stating only one shot.

It is instructive that this is the incident the left had to seize upon to demonstrate to blacks they’re still needed to protect them. It merely points out how little white-on-black crime there really is.

Had Zimmerman done covered doing something the media and the liberals approve of - such as demonstrating against an anti-illegal immigration bill at a La Raza rally - we would not see "white" coupled with "Hispanic" in the media reports about his involvement. He would magically become a garden-variety "Hispanic."

I figure the term "white" came from the police report, as that is his race. Hispanic was added after Zimmerman was identified.
