Late Saturday, 21-year-old John Sanderson of Madison, Miss., was shot to death in a Mississippi State University dormitory, though the killing appears to be isolated, according to university officials.

Early Sunday, a 19-year-old freshman at Jackson State University died from being shot in the face and killed at an off-campus apartment pool party in Jackson. Police identified the victim as Nolan Ryan Henderson III of Atlanta.

1. Perhaps this crime doesn’t fit the needs of the Alinsky crowd and their media slaves.

2. There is NOT enough information here to make a judgment. I (unlike Jesse Jackson, Obama, the New Black Panthers, Dick Gregory, Al Sharpton, etc.) refuse to speculate either way on this case just yet. I don’t know if it was primarily racial. I don’t know what other students might have seen/heard. I don’t know why the victim transferred from his previous community college or if it is even a factor. There is far too much unknown.

Did they find the shooter and decline to charge him?

That is the crux of the protests - not that a supposed white (he is Hispanic) killed a black - but that a boy was killed and nobody was charged.

I don’t like making things about race - but sometimes you can’t help but think there might be a thumb on the scale of justice. I am less sure that if a white 17 year old was shot dead in a confrontation of this type that the shooter wouldn’t be charged.
