I’ve discovered that its really strange watching the British and American versions of the same show (Being Human)
The British version obviously has a smaller budget but they actually insert a little humor into the show. They loosely follow the same story lines but not quite.
I like the British version of Being Human much better- don’t bother watching on US tv - it’s cut to shreds. Season 4 is on now and I’m struggling with it - was so great for the first 3 seasons.
The US version is such a rip-off, the episode plot lines were exact for the first year - this year is getting better.
Season 1 of the British Being Human was very good. It had a good balance of humor and drama.
Season 2 was too dark, very little humor. Season 3, was somewhat better, but not much. Season 4 seems to be a transition to change casts. It is okay, but not great.
The American version season 1 followed the Brit version pretty well. Season 2 has gone entirely on its own. It is okay.
Of course, the Brit ‘seasons’ are typically 4-10 episodes, whereas the US tend to be closer to 22. Thus, the US versions need more content.

Touch is okay, not great numbers. [I got tired of watching adult Keith running around hollering “Jake Jake. What do you want me to do Jake? What am I supposed to do Jake? Is this what you want me to do Jake?” It reminded me too much of a dog movie from years ago, where the adults were running around hollering “Beethoven!” — with various enunciations.]
