The thing is that, if you've been here long enough (and you have), you notice the patterns.

Early Freepers (1998-2000) passing away, and obits with many grandchildren. Many early Freepers were seniors.

Over time, the average age came down, but it's probably still higher than most other sites.

The focus on conservatism draws an older crowd. The high standards of online debate at this site have a natural attrition against the younger generation.

I was a young Early Freeper, Class of 98. There were wonderful older guys on the site. But more and more women have joined.
