.... Jesus never said a word about homosexuality. In all of his teachings about multiple things – he never said that gay people should be condemned.

Nor did He speak in favor of Homosexuality. The rest of Scripture is quite clear, Carter is clearly wrong.

Why would I want spiritual guidance from any pol, Dem or Republican?

If, as we believe, the WHOLE Bible is the word of God, Jesus DID say quite a lot about homosexuality and a lot of other things.

Apparently Jimmy never taught Leviticus in his class. I'd sure be interested in how he would interpret:

Lev 20:13 If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

....

Lev 20:22 "You shall therefore keep all my statutes and all my rules and do them, that the land where I am bringing you to live may not vomit you out.

Lev 20:23 And you shall not walk in the customs of the nation that I am driving out before you, for they did all these things, and therefore I detested them.

Lev 20:24 But I have said to you, 'You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey.' I am the LORD your God, who has separated you from the peoples.

Carter probably puts himself in the category of wanting to believe what he wants to believe. That is the sign of a false prophet.
