***Partly. It’s a little bit like having the last name of Revere and naming your son Paul. I’ve been telling her that she is also named after the Grace of God, which is what the original Granuaile was named after, and that I expect her to redeem the name. It is a beautiful name.
Besides, it has such rich history and amazing story to it, that it’s a name to be proud of. Some british lady at my church asked who that beautiful child was and she was told, Grace O’Malley. The lady said, “Oh my God, do the parents know who Grace O’Malley was?” And she was told, yes they do. She acted as if she’d just heard of someone named Yasir Arafat.
