These might look like photographs, but it's not all black and white when it comes to the work of this artist.

Despite looking like they have been captured on a camera, these are actually hand-drawn images created by hyperrealist artist Paul Cadden.

Yes, amazing is the proper adjective for this. Look at the old man’s face. His beard seems to lose focus the further from the focal point, just as a photograph would. What an eye.

Taking an average of between three and six weeks to produce, Cadden creates about seven pieces each year - which usually come in A1 or A0 sizes - and sell at galleries for up to £5,000 each.

Figure the gallery split is 50%. In the socio-political art world, artistic talent is not a requirement for success.

Those hyper realistic pencil drawings are beyond belief. They blow me away. How does one do that? I can't even conceive.

Same with this:

a few simple line and it looks like someone in particular. Blows me away.

As a matter of fact I was at the DMV less than a month ago. I understand what your saying about realism.

I am no artist, but it seems to me if you’re going to spend a couple months drawing something you might want to draw something a little more pleasant to look at.
