I’ve heard it said many many times the two best days for a boat owner is the day he buys his boat and the day he SELLS IT!

If this is true - they definitely bought the wrong boat!

You can say as you haven’t sold it yet! ;-)

I am sick to death of the B.O.A.T. and “day you sell it” types. Do you feel that way about your wife? The guys who get in over their head on boats 1) borrow money on a depreciating asset, 2) can’t fix what they have themselves.

Guess what? If you can’t fix whatever it is 50 miles offshore in a storm yourself with what you have onboard, DON’T buy it.

Quick fix? Study the Boatowner’s mechanical & electrical manual, Dutton’s, and Chapman. Add everything by Bernard Gladstone and Watts if you can.

Please add me to your pinglist, sail on and fish ON!
