Well, I have no problem with the word ("subterfuge"), itself; only a big problem when one applies emotional tricks to lower people's perception of what is involved in a policy that would lead to a surrender of all that was won in the American Revolution.

It was Norman Cousins' intent to reverse the conscious decision that led to the America we have known. From your previous comment, I think that you may agree with me on that.
