There is an interesting book on Lord and the Californian.
Some of the premises:
1. The Californian was much further away from Titanic than estimated.
2. The Californian was on the west side of the ice pack and the Titanic came racing up from the east.
3. There were several other ships in the area including a seal poacher who moved away from the area, not wanting to be identified.
Lord was a long time very highly rated ships captain. He may have gotten a bad rap on this one.
ha,ha, thanks for that clip. That made me laugh hard.
How about the “every large American city where -detectives-judges-prosecutors-attorneys-forensic pathologists- and computer experts are mostly female” meme?
i’d rather see something about the Sultana riverboat explosion which left a death toll similar to the titanic. 1400 vs 1500 iirc. but nobody knows about it...
Downton Abby is “Upstairs/Downstairs” on steroids.
Great show...
Yes. :)
Everyone should know about this, I think. Lots of negativity here, but maybe for us Titanic lovers, it could be interesting.
