She was truly amazing in The Iron Lady. She captured the facial expressions, the gestures, the mannerisms, and the stance of an elderly, declining person, and gave enormous drama and pathos to Thatcher’s recollections of her husband and family. I’m glad she won.

Wow! I just watched parts of this movie on a dvd last night. I thought her performance was unbelievably campy. It was like watching the great Catherine O’Hara doing Thatcher on an old SCTV skit.

She is a phenomenal actress, there is no doubt. Unlike a lot of the hollywood nonsense where its clearly nepotism, pr or hype, this lady is an honest talent. A true rarity in a town where no talent hacks like Cameron Diaz can find steady work.

I thought her portrayal was amazing, but the liberals in Hollywood did a hatchet job on Thatcher with the movie. It made Thatcher look pathetic rather than sympathetic. Her achievements were minimized and denigrated.
