No, you’re the one making that straw assertion.

I’m saying any country that develops a sustainable renewable energy source is going to have a strategic advantage over those who don’t. Simple.

I like nuclear power, as long as Homer Simpson isn’t running the plant.

As for the Pipeline and drilling - I think we should drill and pipe and then keep the tap shut on American resources until the Saudi’s are sucking sand and we can see the whites of the eyes of their Euro-trash Royal puppeteers bulging out of their inbred heads.

I stated common sense. How could you honestly say that’s a ‘straw assertion’?

Yes, there’s arguably an advantage to preserving our resources given the hypothetical peak-oil scenario, but is that theory anywhere near reality?

You strike me as Moderate on energy given your reservations about nuclear, and by bolstering your point with ‘sustainable renewables’. Why not invest more $ in superconductor technology?

It’s my understanding we have a few hundred years of identifiable fossil resources available in North America.

I don’t shun alternate forms of energy, but I’m suspicious of the govt involvement that wreaks of cronyism at the expense of the taxpayer.
