Willie Gandara Jr. has already filed campaign papers in Washington DC for the next mayoral race.
As the Tammany Hall boys say “He saw his chances (for campaign finance) and he took ‘em”.
He probably has Holder’s call phone number on his speed dial..Juan Canales will be a free man in a less than 30 minutes.
“Throughout his political career, Gandara has taken a hard-line anti-drug stance. In September, he told the El Paso Times he thought drug legalization was a bad idea for the country.
Legalizing drugs is the coward practice of combating cartels, it is an insult to our men and women in law enforcement, and the laziest form of parenting our children and youth about the effects of drugs, he said.”
Exactly why we need to legalize marijuana.
Yes, I imagine drug dealers are very much opposed to drug legalization too.
Nearly everyone in America knows someone whose life was altered as a result of the illegal herb.
Pretty stupid but you have to know there be a whole lot of folks making a living due to it being illegal.
Drug rehab.
Parole officers.
Prison guards.
drug school.
Juidges, and a whole lot of pond scum otherwise known as lawyers.
Dealers and cartel associates.
Course you could levalize it, allow the public to maybe grow three plants for personal consumption and in one fell swoop pull the plug on narco cartels.
That solution is too obvious.

Don’t forget the DEA, weed is probably the biggest target for them...

I’m like those in the video !
I have no clue WHY!
Must be because the government has brainwashed me to believe it is bad!
Problem is...I smoke cigarettes so what would I know?
Too funny.
This a great day at FR. So far, I’m learning that the Climate Change crowd are liars, that Ben & Jerry’s are racists and now that a drug war opponent is knee-deep in ganja.
I can’t wait to scroll down and see what’s next!
It makes sense. Drug law reform would reduce the profitability of his business. No hypocrisy there.
Juan Canalessounds Amish.
Exactly.
This guy had a damn good reason to keep it illegal.
Ya forgot BIG PHARMA
The WOD is a 100% corrupt government racket, which only grows the size of government at all levels, giving them more control and power.
Legalizing pot alone, and you could eliminate hundreds of thousands of cops and their lottery style pensions, which are literally choking off the private sector.
Multitudes of spinnoffs that make money as a result of marijuana being illegal.
Always fun to watch a bad cop throw down a baggie of poor quality cannibus to make his or her quota. Thus destroying a kids opportunities.
But hey, we’re talking money money money money here, not kids lives.
Yes, huge amounts of government employment are dependent on keep drugs like marijuana illegal. Our predecessors were much smarter than us, they recognized and eliminated the failure of alcohol prohibition less than 10 years after it started.
Today, failed policy persists for decades - the drug war, the war on poverty and the welfare state, affirmative action, immigration, car pool lanes to name some. All failed policies that few even think about, let alone question.
USA people have become fat and mentally lazy from decades of affluence and television.
