Police, Border Patrol, other agencies looking to expand drone use at home

Heads up: Drones are going mainstream.
Civilian cousins of the unmanned military aircraft that have tracked and killed terrorists in the Middle East and Asia are in demand by police departments, border patrols, power companies, news organizations and others wanting a bird’s-eye view that’s too impractical or dangerous for conventional planes or helicopters to get.
Along with the enthusiasm, there are qualms.
....
Some impetus comes from the military, which will bring home drones from Afghanistan and wants room to test and use them. In December, Congress gave the Federal Aviation Administration six months to pick half a dozen sites around the country where the military and others can fly unmanned aircraft in the vicinity of regular air traffic, with the aim of demonstrating they’re safe.

For the purposes of Operation #EFAD, followers don’t really matter. You can just send a message to any @person, including #EFAD and a few #groups.
Or just re-tweet (RT) any messages you find after searching for #EFAD tweets.
I re-tweeted one tweet plus the one I sent. Not sure how much more I’ll get to do today, Comcast is really slowwwwwwwww today. They’ve had problems in my area for the past several days with blackouts on Tues/Sat. Don’t know if I’ll be online thru the day or not. But will keep trying.
I’m way too busy on many aspects of this project to do much posting or tweeting today, myself.
But that’s okay. Today, Operation #EFAD will be on auto-pilot. That’s the plan. Comm#5 will be later, and very brief.
Matt
Well, Internet still slow. Just finished The Reconquista, now going into Castigo Cay. I think Thursday will be timed pretty well...
It may have been mentioned already, but if anyone is a subsciber to the dealnews.com website, you know that they send out links for free kindle e-books all the time. With their subscriber base, I would bet there will be more than a few folks who don’t even read any of the conservative sites that will pick up the book out of curiousity and then get hooked. I am about to shoot off a link to them right now, so if a few more do as well, particularly if Matt does as well, they may include it.
You mean I’m NOT already????
Hmmmmm
