Is Coast to Coast losing audience or what?
I listen to C2C nightly or it is at least playing in the background as I go to sleep.
Over the last 6 months or so, the show has taken on sort of a Beck-onian Dark Side. Oddly reminiscent of things said earlier in the day or week on daytime talk. Years ago it would have been considered crazy conspiracy talk, but it now seems on pace with current events.
I often have thought...word is getting out, even to the crazy overnight nuts, that our world is very close to being turned upside-down.
Of course last night I fell asleep listening to a guest discuss the ‘shift’ of consciousness that is coming and the awakening that is happening. All couched in Arab Spring and OWS as the agitation of the ‘spirit.’ This was the first guest interview that I have heard actually tagging the movements to the ethereal realms. The guest didn't preach to join these movements, just noted them as evidence of a spiritual upheaval. She spoke of 51 golden cities worldwide and 5 here in the US. Areas we should start moving towards for ‘safety.’ I can think of a daytime host that just last year had a discussion with his audience about ‘moving to safety.’
Which if you listen to Beck at all, the upheaval is marketed as good vs. evil....and it is time to choose.
“Red Eye is syndicated by Cumulus while Clear Channel’s Premiere division syndicates Coast to Coast.”
This likely has a lot to do with it. Cumulus stations replacing a show syndicated by rival Clear Channel with one of their own.
It hasn’t been the same since Art left the first time.
