I have used the 5.11 belt for the last 5 years. WHen I was working, I would carry holster and a cuff case/magazince combo. I now just carry a glock.

The belt has a plastic piece which allows the belt to remain rigid enough to hold the weight of a holster with a gun.

One weakness and it is probably me more than the belt. I am on my 3rd belt for dress. I still have my second which was damaged by my cell phone holster. The issue is that the plastic will eventually break. I think it is the way I hook the belt in. I tend to over flex the belt when I am hooking it.

So, on the average, the belts last a little over 2 years with everyday wear. My current belt, which is in very good shape and no scratches is over 15 months old. I still use my 2nd belt on my knock around clothes.

All in all, I will buy the 5.11 belt again. I like 5.11 pants and polo’s. 5.11 also has great coats with concealed pockets that have velcro. You can purchase holsters and conceal them in the pockets. My coat has a holster, 2 mags, flash light and a set of handcuffs. The coat tends to weigh a bit but it is nice to have the extra gear.

This is the 5.11 trainer? The price is definitively right and i can buy them at a local gander mountain. With belts i never like to buy without trying on first.
