I just took a poll of the kids in this age range who I know. They all, w/o fail said...
“those who feel that way aren’t really going to get anywhere in life if they have this mentality.”
I love it how they brand us as generation gimme. ;)
Real wages from 1969-1979 were 8.75/hour, peaking at 9.5 in 1975.
Generation gimme hasn’t seen real wages higher than 8.25. That’s right - the younguns are having to make do with less than you boomers did.
So go on, tell us how all use younguns are greedy. I figure that we’re looking at a 15 percent decline in the standard of living, and that was back in 2005 when things were much better than they are now. The trough was 7.5, which if that is the case today, we are looking at a 25 percent decline in our standard of living.
And we are generation gimme? Really? The facts don’t bear it out.

That’s encouraging.
