I love it how they brand us as generation gimme. ;)
Real wages from 1969-1979 were 8.75/hour, peaking at 9.5 in 1975.
Generation gimme hasn’t seen real wages higher than 8.25. That’s right - the younguns are having to make do with less than you boomers did.
So go on, tell us how all use younguns are greedy. I figure that we’re looking at a 15 percent decline in the standard of living, and that was back in 2005 when things were much better than they are now. The trough was 7.5, which if that is the case today, we are looking at a 25 percent decline in our standard of living.
And we are generation gimme? Really? The facts don’t bear it out.
You would make better wages if you didn’t work at McDonalds. Don’t you have any skills?
>And we are generation gimme? Really? The facts dont bear it out.
If you are asking for free stuff, you are generation gimme. If you are not, then the label is false. The standard of living is irrelevant to the validity of the label.
This doesn’t even take into account the fact that wealth transfer does nothing but kill the sources of wealth, thus reducing that standard of living.
“Generation gimme hasnt seen real wages higher than 8.25. Thats right - the younguns are having to make do with less than you boomers did.”
That’s what large federal governments get you. Just imagine what would happen if the signer of they paycheck wasn’t getting robbed daily to pay for the government largesse described in this video.
