I’m OK with women in the military but in appropriate roles. My grandmother was in the WAVES while my grandfather was in Europe during WWII.

I agree and would amend my original post to reflect that if I could. My position nis that women should not be in combat roles and should not be deployed on naval vessels.

I wonder what the Stars and Stripes reporter is doing now after writing that article. The reporter and the editor are probably in some kind of encounter group focused on providing what is the real truth as opposed to what is reality. Up is down, down is up in the Obama military.

My refusal to take any course like that would be stated...

“Sir, I refuse to take this course because I would be violating provisions in the UCMJ Article 125; Sodomy...”

“Since the issue of removing that article in the uniformed code has not been addressed, I cannot, in good faith attend or participate in such instruction...Therefore, if I see anyone engaged in that activity, I will be forced to issue a report to have an investigation of those offence(s) and those engaged brought up on charges...”

(I vaguely recall it might be Article 125 in the UCMJ, I stand to be corrected...)
