You know, there are three nicotine-producing plants -
The deadly nightshade.
Tobacco.
And the tomato.
So, he could be charged with a drug offense - for possesion of a tomato plant ...

I always feared that Will would turn out to be a pot head.

The teen was charged with unarmed burglary of an occupied dwelling, So his crime was not carrying a gun! Strange.

well they should have made the little delinquent smoke it
on the bright side the victim can now grow weed with impunity as long as he hangs red balls from the branches

I know for a fact that some San Jose cops were at least this stupid as well in the late 1990’s or so.

I remember back in the 1960s, my stoner little sister planted pot in the flower boxes outside the local police station.
She told my mother that the seeds were vegetable seeds. Mom helped her germanate them and she planted them in the garden. They grew until the gardener asked my mother whether she knew she was growing pot out by the swimming pool lol.

My mother was growing some seedlings for my older brother, and she was puzzled as to why he came over one day and ripped them all out, roots and all.

He knew that she was a great gardener with the greenest of thumbs, and he did mention that what she unknowingly grew was some dynamite [unladylike word]. Dude.
