Another unqualified dog owner. People desiring to own a pit bull should be trained and properly qualified to do so, in the interests of both public safety and safeguarding the oft slandered reputations of these fine dogs. Every one that ends up attacking either human or animal is itself a victim of an ignorant and unqualified human. This can logically be deduced from the defenses of pit bulls that have been presented on FreeRepublic.com.

Well said. Moments ago on this very forum we were forced to hear slanderous tales of these magnificent canine specimens mauling and killing children, attacking humans and pets, ripping full-grown adults to shreds, etc.

Every time I see a story about a Pit variant hurting or killing someone for no reason - once a day or so - I remember how biased our media is against our loyal friends. You will note they never publish stories about the killer packs of Corgis, feral West Highland Whites, murderous Pekingese, etc. which plague our neighborhoods.

Every time a Pit so much as bites some whining baby's face off for no reason it makes the news but you show me a Toy Pomeranian mauling a Percheron draft horse to death and I'll show you a story the mainstream media will ignore.
