Just before Thanksgiving, Obama's approval was somewhere in the lower 40s. All of our candidates looked within range to defeat him. This was our election to lose. Now I feel like the wind is in our face and we are backed up inside the two yardline. Is it the quality of our candidates ? The best speeches of the year so far were delivered by a former Governor of Alaska (whom I adore and wanted to run) and a British member of the EU Parliment. That is not a good sign.
The economy is not that much better. People live and breathe the conditions on the ground and they are not good even if they are not getting worse at the same pace as before.
What is the deal here ?
Am I to believe Bill O'Reilly's talking points tonight ? Are we just a dime bag welfare state (sums up what he said) ?
What is going wrong ? Words of wisdow anyone ?
It is like we need a political John Elway to step up and all I see on the sideline is Bubby Brister and Jeff George.
“What is going wrong ? Words of wisdow anyone ?”
“The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves...”
Nothing has changed, we’re still losing, it’s just becoming more evident to the stragglers now.
The MSM is doing its job: demoralizing you.
There’s billions invested so that America doesn’t elect a rock-the-boat conservative to mess up trillions of investment.
It’s the media, which is more powerful than ever, and which promotes and assumes the ascendancy of Obama with every turn of phrase, and casts down and ridicules every challenge to him instantly and vehemently.
Turn off the news, speak your heart, and VOTE!
One thing liberals don’t know what to do with is feisty conservatives. At the moment, our attention is being diverted from fighting liberals to trying figure who should lead the Republicans.
Our numbers will go up again, once it becomes certain who will be the nominee. We just cannot give up the fight.
Bump
The payroll tax debate cost us our @ss. Obama took the class warfare high grounda and we have been pissing up a rope ever since. Whenever Obama makes the public think republicans are not for tax cuts and he is we are in a world of hurt. Our issue is getting the right nmessage out there in simple clear terms. No one does this better than Rubio and he isn’t running.
Today is Valentine’s Day. Instead of demoralizing Freepers, maybe you should go out with your old lady.
return bump
What do you suppose might be the adrenaline for this stalled state? You mention it. What the GOP and even indies need is Palin. They just don’t know it yet. Keep the faith.
I am not trying to demoralize anyone and we are dealing with the flu here. grr..
I know you’re not trying to de-moralize. I’ve been on and off the ledge since Perry bowed out for Newt. Primaries ain’t beanbag.
no worries my friend the sword of Damocles still hangs over Obamas head G A S prices if it hits 4.50 a gallon a trained monkey could beat him
Nothing changed. Obama has stayed on message and is hell bent on bending us to his will. Our side has no message and is feverishly working on terms of surrender.
Traitors both!!!
Obama shifted the conversation with this ridiculous Contraception thing as well as the gay marriage thing, and Santorum took the bait.
That shifted focus from the economy, and lent legitimacy to social matters as being important to the race.
You are helping Mr Obama by not viewing it in its real terms the unconstitutional screwing with the Christians who do not want to support birth control. Its an assault on a very large percentage of religious people.
I’m all for making the economy issue number one, but if my church is being attacked the economy seems less important. After he’s successfully crippled christian churches, what will he do to what’s left of the free market system?
His tyranny is all of a piece.
Like it or not, that's where the sheeple get their news. And they buy it hook, line and sinker.
If Santorum took the bait, he’s not alone. He’s SO not alone that he’s taken the lead in the GOP race
