Really? What are your qualifications to make that statement? It sure is not based on any knowledge of the Pekingese breed. I have bred many champion Pekingese. I handle and show them for a living. I have numerous Group 1 wins, Best in Show and numerous Best in Specialy Pekingese wins. That little dog was the 2nd top winning dog in the entire country ALL BREEDS not just his breed. He’s an outstanding representive of his breed. He won 116 Best in Shows this past year. So you think you know more than 116 judges who are trained to recognize quality in dogs as to opposed to you whom I am willing to bet never bred a champion dog of any breed in your life. Because you like a Doberman better than a Pekingese doesn’t mean the judge screwed up it simply means you don’t have the knowledge to know the quality of that little Peke. I do and he is outstanding. He deserved that win. Stick to politics. You know nothing of dog shows or Pekingese.

We breed and show and my wife has since the early 70s and was also a judge. We own a son of the Best in Show Lab at WM.

You loose. We have owned many that have won best in show. We have bread and shown 6 different breeds. There was really no need to get all snooty. Really.<

You sure got snitty quick. Your assumptions indicate a lack of character and your snooty reply indicates a lack of personality. Check your snooty, catty attitude at the door and go suck an egg.

By the way. That Pekingese was about as rough moving as any I’ve seen. The one that won a few years ago was smooth and deserved to win.

I loved the show. Appreciate your knowledge of the breed, so I have a question. Would the judge feel any pressure to choose this Pekingese because 116 previous judges had chosen this one before her?

I thought the Peke was beautiful; in fact, I loved all the dogs. Just was wondering how judges make their decisions. Can they block out everything that’s gone on before, and just choose the one they think is Best? Since you are an insider, I thought you could enlighten those of us who need it.
