If they get a warrant, she should probably avoid any EU country and maybe avoid any country besides the US that has an extradition treaty with Italy.

by extradition treaty, do you mean that if she gets a warrant, the U.S. is going to turn over one of our American citizens to another country? Please tell me that would never happen.

I am saying that the US would be the only country with an extradition treaty with Italy that would not enforce a warrant - with the possible added exception of Canada.

Duh. By signing and ratifying an extradition treaty the U.S. pledges that it will extradite people. So yes, it would happen. That's the point of an extradition treaty.
