A Facebook post went viral Wednesday after the father of a 15-year-old girl decided her online activity was disrespectful, but it

Just Wow.
This father does not deserve the daughter he got. Makes one wonder how she failed to get the message. I hope it's not too late.
Perhaps the lesson might have been truly useful 8 or 9 years earlier. Yes, the "entitlement" mentality can bloom in families, too.
Regardless, I admire this Dad, and if the ACLU or other dysfunctional group gives him a hassle, I will kick in for his legal defence.
(Dad. Two sons. One daughter.) Home free.
LOL! Oh really??? You tell that to the father! So what is she going to do, quit her job? Oh wait, the twit lives at home.......How many chores do you think she's going to have to perform before the repayment is fulfilled?
This is a groundhog. This is a groundhog on varmit grenades. Any questions? LOL!
>I was with him up until he said she owes him for the laptop. I think he needs to back down from that part. He shot it, not her.
Well, to be fair the $130 he cited was for the software that he installed for her, and it would not be unreasonable to add in the labor, too.
(Also, from the tone of the video the laptop was not hers in the sense that she bought it; though it could have been hers in the sense someone gave it to her, it seems to me far more likely that it was “something dad provided for school and such.”)
So who do you think is going to win THAT argument? The daughter or the father?........LOL!
Well, since my comment to you was just a single sentence, I would say you must suck at critical comprehension and reading.
that was frosting on the cupcake...:O)
agree with you on that one GG
LOL thats one I haven’t heard before GG
No, he just punished her in the same venue where she insulted him. - Appropriate and measured.
You got that right! That goes for mean dads, too!
My son, who is now 52, announced when he was 13 that he wanted a specific brand and model of CB radio (remember those?) or nothing at all.
When it came time to open Christmas presents Christmas day, his gift wrapped present from Santa was...
... a brick.
Never heard that line again.
Ever!
“Shooting the laptop is fine, but I dont think going on youtube is the right thing to do, particularly after being furious over your daughters idiotic facebook outburst.”
Seems like a well-measured response. If she had kept her ‘issues’ in the family, we wouldn’t be watching this video.
A lot people on this site seem revolted by this gentleman’s well-measured response to a daughter who’s turned into a monster. That’s sad to see here, for we cannot even understand the need to discipline kids, it’s pretty hopeless for the rest of the country.
I’ve done similar with my kids, although not with a gun. But my kids have had the pleasure of seeing some of their favorite toys get dismembered, due to their behavior. Are they scarred for life? LOL. As far as this b!tch being scarred - not going to happen. If he had done that shooting in front of her, that would be a different story, and perhaps a crime. But doing it on video is just the right amount of impact to perhaps get her attention that the world doesn’t revolve around her. Heck, this experience might even teach her how to behave in a relationship.
Father (to daughter’s laptop): “Take THIS you soulless piece of junk!” followed by KA-POW!!
Daughter: “Daddy! How could you do that? That’s so cruel.”
Father: “No, dear, it’s called justice.”
It's also a bleeping marriage killer!
I just saw this for the first time today. I thought this was brilliant.
As soon as the guy opened his mouth to speak, I liked him after the first sentence.
As he read the Facebook "letter", my admiration grew.
When he emptied the clip into the device, I wanted to stand up and cheer.
Liberals say he should have spoken with her and treated her respectfully and rationally as an adult.
I contend that taking out the laptop, the symbol of her disrespectful, foul-mouthed, spoiled and ungrateful status was the BEST approach.
Yeah I’ve used it to keep in touch with family all over the world. Quite a sickness!
