(I found the ping list! TY to JADB for putting it on her profile page. At least, I hope it’s the right list, it wasn’t labelled)
Gardeners’ ping, come and join the fun!
Have four ‘maters in and flowering: 2 Bonnie Goliath bush and 2 Bonnie Tami G grape. The rest will be heirlooms once they’re available, all blacks.
Ya done good Ellendra!!! JaDB is on a mountain top in Montana and I suspect Reddevil232 is making the move to Texas from his plantation in Ole Miss. Old and Older age has taken it’s toll on me but I AM getting things done in the garden like renovating the strawberry beds. We got seeds from Twilley, Johnny’s, Territorial and Pine Tree today including Lady Bender’s flowers and my veggies...
Weather has been too unpredictable to plant anything. After temperatures in the 40-60 degree range, we are going to get a blast of winter starting tonight. A wintry mix is going to hit our area and there is a good chance of snow on the ground in the morning. Covered up with plastic sheeting the things that are wintering over and hoping for the best.
I ordered a Sears Garden Tractor suitable for attaching a Johnny Bucket/Plow and eventually, a tiller and snow blower. I also ordered the Johnny Bucket and Plow and the joystick controller. We are really going to make good use of it!
Our replacement Indian Runner ducklings (one drake and five hens) arrived on Wednesday morning. They are living, curious and eating us out of house and home. They have more than doubled in the past two and a half days and our cats are fascinated.
Expecting a little snow tomorrow, but it is time to get seeds in trays.
Woo Hoo. It is 17F and man feet of snow outside. Got to get earrly starts going inside!
Otherwise, I am just hibernating from the cold and planning next spring’s garden. Have a good weekend. God Bless.
