Easy -- THE SNAKE.
Snakes are cool. Ticks are just fricking gross. Parasites in general are gross (with a possible few exceptions).
I've had ticks and removed them, and I've removed them from pets and children. They are just NASTY.
I hope the snake makes it past this infestation. My god what an awful thing. Poor snake.

I’d think leeches would be that exception; they’re currently the best thing for re-attaching fingers and such because their method of drawing blood increases the bloodflow.
