And then I’ll sue because _the cops_ were the ones who put out the alert “advice” in the newspaper about driving to a populated place or PD.
In *theory*, as per -their- instructions, I am to put on my four ways and drive sedately to said locations which is ~supposedly~ a signal to the following cop that I suspect he’s actually a psychopathic rapist and/or murderer.

It’s crazy...when I was a little kid, the first thing my dad taught me was that if *anything* happened to me, such as getting lost or whatever, I was supposed to -immediately- go find a cop because they’d protect me and keep me safe.
I’m not buying that much, any more.

I just have tremendous faith in the ability of LEOs to contrive extra-judicial means of punishing people who inconvenience them.
In fact, my last experience as a juror has convinced me you will be disqualified from service if you give any hint of skepticism for the “plausibility” of why and how the police acted in any given circumstance in the performance of their duty.
No, I was not disqualified, but the direction of the questioning quickly convinced me the goal was not to find a pool of impartial jurors, but a group who would not question the authority and decisions of the police.
I expect a lot of Freepers were told that in their childhoods.
How unfortunate that future generations of Freepers will have less and less experience with peace officers and more experiences with law enforcement officers. I pray they will not view this as “normal”.
