Pray for America.

What has happened to our voting electorate? We are now faced with the possibility of reelecting the worst President in the history of our nation OR supporting a flip flopping, narcissistic Massachusetts moderate who wrote the blueprint for Obamacare.

People ask me why I have decided NOT vote for Mitt Romney in November, be he our nominee. I will not vote for him because to do so would be for me to live the same lie that Mitt Romney has defined himself as. He is a disgrace to our party and to our country. The man has no scruples, no core message and above all, no honor. He ran the most underhanded, ruthless, power grabbing campaign in Fla. that I have ever witnessed. He has no concept of how to respectfully challenge opponents, nor did he try to discover what that would look like. Instead, he resorted to Chicago thuglike tactics to destroy his opponent taken right out of the playbook of Saul Alinsky: Focus, target, destroy. He is not the Conservative that we need to bring the fight to Obama like we neglected to do by nominating John McCain.. And where did that get us in 2008?

The only way to hold our heads high and know we aren't selling ourselves short as Republicans is to stay true to our core values and principles by demanding nothing other than a principled Constitutional, Reaganesque Conservative who shares our values and like us, embraces the founding fathers doctrines that made America great. The contrast with Obama should be sharp. No Moderates/No Way. Pray for our Republic and may we always remember that we are One Nation, Under God.

Below is an excerpt from a Free Republic blogger that echoes my sentiments exactly. Watching Fox news, listening to pseudo Conservative pundits, talk show hosts and others in the MSM abandon the Tea Party and embrace this outright assault on our liberties. Our founding fathers would be shocked and dismayed at our confusion and ignorance. So would Ronald Reagan and my father.

This is how we know what LOVE is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. 1 John 3:1

"We just lost a special election here in Oregon where the establishment ran a self described moderate and lost twice in a row. When all of the experts try to explain that you have to run the perfect candidate to satisfy the moderates you need to ask them by what proof do they come up with that truth? There is more proof of Global Warming than moderate candidates winning elections so why do we treat it as gospel? As they point to all the Tea Party candidates who cost us elections we have seen in liberal Oregon that moderates don’t fare any better and will be painted as rabid conservatives so why not run rabid conservatives who can defend themselves. We ran a really nice guy who has a great family and is a small business owner who in many ways agrees with conservatives however he never really understood conservatism or how it relates to freedom. He not only didn’t have the ability to articulate it but he was told to make sure not to say anything that would offend the moderates or the media so he didn’t. In addition, the campaign as well as the Party used every means possible to make sure the volunteers never came in contact with the people to potentially say something that would offend them or the media. So to control the message and make sure no Tea Party message went out they ran the entire outreach by phone. What we ended up with was a vanilla campaign and unenthused voters who never showed up with their ballots. The excuses are as varied as the imaginations of those who ran this anemic campaign, from being outspent 5 to 1 or a 14% voter registration margin to mailers that lied, but in the end the Republicans never showed up. When you don’t excite the conservatives you don’t get the money or their votes. These of course are obstacles to a campaign but they can be overcome by an aggressive attack with a candidate who can take the fight to the enemy. You will never beat the Dems by playing defense since they will always fire up their troops and get their voters out at the end. We tried helping by running a strictly grassroots campaign to try to finally break the 35 year drought our district has had electing Dems and in the end couldn’t do it. We were hamstrung by the Party and the campaign to the point of our precinct organizers being told not to organize their precincts or go door to door for fear of them saying the wrong thing. When they were asked if they could go door to door to bring in the ballots for our vote by mail we were told absolutely not, they only wanted phone callers and nothing else. This is so they could protect their precious message of nothingness. As bad and incompetent as this campaign may have appeared it is a perfect mirror of what the Mitt campaign will look like. Just like Oregon the national experts know exactly how and who to promote to win the election and manage the message. They believe they have the perfect vanilla anti-Tea Party message to win over those movable moderates when what they think they know is the exact opposite. Nationally we need a strong crusader for our message to move and educate those moderates or we will have the same exact result we had for our election. There is no difference between Oregon and the liberal cities. The free stuff message Ohbummer will be spreading which will be going against a stiff liberal Republican trying to outgive him and will never work. With Mittwit we are heading down the path of destruction of the Party. Not only will it further divide the Tea Party from the Country Club as it did here it has almost zero chance of succeeding. We need to unite the Party and the only one who has a chance of doing that is a Conservative. A Conservative can bring the Tea Party on board where half of your activists exist as well as reluctantly bring the Country Club as they have to compare him to Ocommie which should be no comparison even to them. Our election should be a huge warning that in a district that could have been won was lost by the experts in the Country Club who manipulated, bought and used Stalinist central planning techniques to manage the loss. They will blame the voter imbalance, money and any number of excuses but it is a very good primer of what is going to happen in the fall if we nominate Romney who does not generate enthusiasm from the Conservative base and the Party relies on moderating their way to victory. His stiff demeanor will not connect with liberals and will be painted as a radical, rich, old guy Conservative no matter how liberal he actually is. He will have no defense against those charges other than being more liberal and alienating the base who won’t vote. The bottom line is here in Oregon we were lectured and manipulated by the so called experts how this candidate gave us the perfect opportunity to win and the experts were wrong. These experts are either incompetent, corrupt or in alliance with the other side. In the end they get paid the same whether the candidate wins or loses so what have they got to lose. These managers are not ideologues but hired guns to manage a campaign and as long as the phone calls are being made and meetings being attended then the losses were managed well. Our election is a warning to America that their moderate theory is flawed. Choose wisely since there are some powerful people wanting this election to turn out exactly how they would like. Don’t let what happened to Oregon happen to America so be a bit pragmatic to unite and work hard for Gingrich to defeat the Country Club. He is not perfect but right now it is him or the Moderate Republican establishment and a sure loss to Obama just like Oregon. Pray for America"

If the choice is between somebody who is known to be the worst Potus ever, who is known to be hostile to the People of the US, I will vote for the Nominee whoever it is.

Sadly, I will too. Obama CANNOT win another term.

part of what made Obama the worst president, is his implimentation of Romney’s ideas

and you would vote for that???

The only difference between Romney and Obama is ISlam

And Romney would surrender to Islam as fast as Obama promotes it

I do understand you Mary. But like quite a few here have stated, whoever the nominee is I feel obligated to vote for them. If only to put a speed bump in the way of where we are heading. It is discouraging to have to be in the same spot as we were 4 years ago, but that is the hand we are dealt. I have grandkids that I’m thinking about right now, and I don’t think we can stand another 4 years and still have a chance of righting the wrongs. I wish that I was as brave as you to gamble on 2016. I am not and believe me I pray for strength to do the right thing. My heart is saying hold out for the chance it will work. God Bless us all in this decision process.

I understand the feeling. The GOP-e is disgusting; I’ve had it up to my eyeballs with them.

But being taken for granted is way, way better than electing Hitler. We HAVE to recognize the critical situation we are in. Obama has destroyed all the foundations including the checks and balances and the rule of law. He is a tyrant who is forcing Catholics to perform abortions. Etc ad nauseum.

AFTER we get rid of the man with the gun who is raping us into oblivion we can worry about whether the cop who puts an end to the rape will “take us for granted”. At the moment we just don’t have that luxury. It’s life or death, and an emotional vote because we feel taken for granted means death. The German fiscal moderates in 1933 were sick and tired of the gridlock of the Weimar Republic so they passed the Enabling Act - and unleashed Hitler to be a law unto himself. The time to resist was BEFORE giving him the keys to the kingdom. If Obama gets another 4 years there will never be another vote; America will be over.

I’m dead serious. Get your burka ready, because he’s already started his moves of the government telling Catholics they have to kill infidel fetuses whether they want to or not. Already conspiring with sharia players as to how America needs to be “improved” in its dealings with Muslims (i.e. bend over and wait for what sharia says we have coming to us). This is the guy who told the Egyptian ambassador that he was and still is a Muslim who supports the Muslim agenda - and that he would begin working on the worldwide Muslim agenda (which we all know is worldwide sharia and the destruction of America and Israel) as soon as he got “domestic issues” taken care of (that is, shoving Obamacare down our throats so he could start the Muslim thing of FORCING Christians to violate their own faith). He said that to the Egyptian ambassador right before supporting Arab Spring, which has resulted in Islamists taking over the entire Middle East - replacing secular governments that had supported the US in our anti-terrorism measures. The only rebellion he didn’t support was the one in Iran - where the rebellion was against a radical Islamist, sharia regime that has sworn to destroy both the US and Israel and start a Holocaust/Armageddon that would bring in the tenth imam. Instead, he had our military offer protection to those dissidents who fled to Iraq in return for them handing over their weapons - only to abandon them for political points in December and leave those people to be destroyed when Iran overtakes Iraq, undoing everything we gained there with blood, sweat, and tears.

There is way, way, way more that could and should be said.

If Rommey is our candidate you will have a choice between Romney or sharia. Take your pick. I’m dead serious.

.
When the GOP comes calling for a contribution I just tell them that I have already given my money to Gingrich and that there is nothing left.

That fear is what makes me want anybody but Romney in the primary. Romney is too much like Obama in his politics.

We need a Winston Churchill, not a Neville Chamberlain.

But even Neville Chamberlain would be better than Adolf Hitler. Especially if we had some Churchills in Congress who could apply some pressure to keep a Chamberlain in line. Hitler would not allow anybody to keep him in line, and that’s what we’ve got right now. Obama says he needs 4 more years to finish the job. You and I both know what job he wants to finish, and Islam definitely comes into play. He wants this place to bow to his alliance of Islam and communism. And if we give him 4 more years he will be able to finish us off.

If Romney tries to bow Congress can at least kick him in the butt. With Soros’ puppet in there controlling the whole government in the name of the communist-Islamist alliance, Congress can’t (or won’t) do anything.

I have come to the conclusion that the term conservative means something different today than it did when I was younger. How else can one understand this result? I think people have a disconnect, thinking that conservative means GOP. I think there are MANY who could not tell you what conservative values really are, to be honest. Time and again, we come to the same place, with another non-conservative for our candidate. Otherwise, real conservative MUST be staying home for the primaries. This is the place we get to decide for a conservative candidate, not at the general election. But there is another thing I see, as well. Many pastors are not encouraging their flocks to vote. Churches are no longer turning out virtuous people who desire virtuous leaders. We are then swept back and forth by sound-bites and emotional manipulation. Scripture has a lot of warnings for what is taking place, but I think America will not heed them. Our undoing is going to come quickly and severely, I’m afraid.

You nailed it. Both are just as bad. So the choice to vote third party or write in someone is a no brainier for me if Romney is nominated. Because if Romney wins the chances are great he’ll be pretty bad and the tea party will have to do something or they will be co-opted because they have to stand up to the GOP. Obama is bad but Romney will be just a bad. So why would I vote for candidates I don’t like.

I see the site true blue liberty with true blue state rinos is down. Hope it dies. It was a joke site with real hardcore liberals and dumb rinos there. They were a bit nuts there. Funniest site was when the hardcore socialists argued with the rinos over the economy and Obama. A bit of a mess to read. They were so nuts over there they ran off lots of ex-freepers who were at least halfway better like Pissant. That site was a joke. Went there for comedy. I gave up posting when I realized it was getting nuttier and nuttier. Used to like to argue with them.

>>...Gotta keep up the fight...<<

Too true! For many this election has turned into an “emotional” decision, and I can understand where they are coming from. Much of it stems from sheer frustration, anger and disgust with the RNC/GOP.

We are simply outnumbered by the moderate & indie voters. There are waaaaay too many mod&indie voters lining up to throw gobs of cash and votes at Romney.

We aren’t going to “teach the RNC/GOP a lesson” by protest voting (or not voting or whatever). The RNC/GOP will simply look at out protest vote, shrug its shoulders and continue preaching to its mod&indie choir. In my opinion, the *only* thing that will change *anything* is when we increase the number of voters who will eagerly nominate, support and vote as a unified bloc for stronger conservative candidates.

I’m not saying we should -OR- should not cast some kind of protest vote, or sit this one out, or vote for whatever (R) candidate opposes Obama (which is my personal choice), etc. Do whatever your conscience steers you to do.

What I *am* saying is that NO MATTER WHAT WE DO THIS TIME (I can’t stress this enough), the day after the election, we will still be in the same political jam as regards the type of candidates the RNC/GOP will dump on us.

Bottom line: We currently lack the numbers to force the RNC/GOP’s hand on anything. If we were anywhere *close* to being effectual, we would not be having this conversation about Romney. We need to grow our numbers to rival the mods & indies. Period. The End.

Easier said than done, I know. I’m open to suggestions on the best way to do it.

I agree with you, jaydee. I just wanna know where the Tea Party is. My TP “friends”, some of whom have been very active in the past,.are silent right now.

Is the lack of backlash from Conservatives so far because they are:
1. Afraid to stand up the GOP-E.
2. Stunned and don’t know what to do, or
3. Compromising their core Conservative values for the sake of ABO?

I don’t want to teach the GOP a lesson which they won’t understand anyway.
I think you are right that we need to build our infrastructure from within.
That is going to take commitment from many furious Conservatives who have had it with their party’s antics.

I believe that a good start will be for those of us here on FR to continue to brainstorm about how to increase our strength and power by a offering clear, concise action plan to commit to a resurgence/restoration of American ideals.
If the “Tea Party” won’t man up, then it’s going to be up to us soldiers here in the front lines.
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!
