Curtis Martin was a no-brainer. He was a Patriot for his first three years until Parcells (who didn’t make cut) stole him from us.

Roaf’s stock as an NFL draft prospect began to rise his senior year, when his Louisiana Tech squad went to Tuscaloosa for a game against the Crimson Tide. Roaf was lined up against an Alabama DE that was supposedly the second coming of Deacon Jones. Willie absolutely dominated him in that game, and the pro scouts knew they had found the league’s next great left tackle. Not sure what happened to that DE from Alabama...

I’m glad Parcells gets to wait. He previous attempts to go back to coaching right after being inducted still annoy me.

Pro Football HOF has become a joke.

Where’s Ray Guy ?
Where’s Kenny Stabler ?
Where’s Jack Tatum ?
Where’s Tom Flores ? Two Super Bowl wins, there !

BS man.

Curtis Martin was a no-brainer.

Glad he made it. He seemed workmanlike, not in it to be flashy, but to deliver for his team.

When will they include Jerry Kramer?

One of the best guards of the sixties.

Harvey Martin - Dallas Cowboys is the greatest injustice. 24 sacks in a 14 game season (before sacks were an official stat). All decade team, two super bowl rings, super bowl MVP. Chris Doleman?? Never even played in a superbowl. Charles Haley has 5 superbowl rings and was denied.

See some real Hall Of Famers play here:

1958 NFL championship game.
Quite a contrast to the “pink shoes NFL” Super Bowl tomorrow...

Full audio with only about a quarter of the game on video, rest is appropriate filler from the time.
But it does have video of the big plays and all of the exciting finish.

It’s a short drive from Pittsburgh to Wash DC with so much campaign cash that Obama makes you an ambassador.

James William "Jim" Plunkett (born December 5, 1947) is a former American football quarterback who played college football for Stanford University, where he won the Heisman Trophy, and professionally for three National Football League teams: the New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers and Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders. He led the Raiders to two Super Bowl victories (XV and XVIII). He is the only eligible quarterback to start (and win) two Super Bowls without being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

Good Point, Perdogg! The rest of the Wikipedia article is very interesting!

Plunkett/Vataha/Stanford vs. Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. Loved it!

No Chris Carter? He was the best when he played...unstoppable.

As far as Parcells goes, he has made a lot of enemies over the years and he is one arrogant son of a b. I respect his 2 supes for my beloved Giants, but he is a miserable guy.

NFL’s fourth all-time leading receiver, eight time Pro Bowler, fourth all time in receiving touchdowns, eighth all time in total touchdowns, named to 11 All-Pro teams, and arguably one of the greatest possession receivers of all time. How on EARTH did Cris Carter not get in?
