He’s a great guy, and the voice of baseball to me (although I grew up loving only the Angels). Even I can acknowledge that Scully is the best. He’ s one reason the Dodgers were great.

I've been listening with joy to Vinnie since the Dodgers arrived in '58 and am convinced, along with nearly every knowledgeable observer, that he is the best baseball announcer ever. He also did a great job on football and golf years ago. It is no stretch to claim that he is the best
sports announcer ever.
But he's even a better human being.
