I checked out Jericho on DVD from the library and watched it in a few days, I was surprised to see that it was about romance and relationships after a mushroom cloud is seen in the distance and the power goes off.
It was useless.

Ugh. The writer of Supernatural is writing the pilot. It's going to be abysmal. And expensive. And cancelled after six episodes.

Post-apocalyptic world with no modern technology is a theme that's been done to death in science fiction, and it doesn't take much imagination - it's basically our past. It's a lot harder to create a convincing, intelligent projection of a future in which modern technology continues to develop.

Yeah, “Jericho” was lame. What a hero! He found a bus! And Blackwater is looting and killing!

How much do you want to bet they will portray conservatives as gun-toting, self-serving and evil nutcases, while liberals will be portrayed as ‘voices of reason in a world gone mad’?
It’s Hollywood - count on it.

There’s no hook that could compel me to watch yet another post apocalyptic drama.
The idea is as boring as vampires.

Let me guess:
Women bosses, all taller and stronger and smarter than any man.
I yearn for masculine men and romance, not sex. Oh, if only we could have a little paternalism.

I forgot about Blackwater.
That was one of the weird things about the show, I was wondering about the disconnect between the audience that you could expect to be drawn to such a series, versus the writing and focus of the actual series.

I’ll watch anything J.J. does, now he just needs to add Damon and CArlton to the writing team and Micheal Giacchino to do the music.
