Actually, if the country continues to spiral downward, I think therapists are going to be in high demand, especially those who are willing to work off the grid, so to speak. (No attachment to insurance companies, accepting only cash, willing to charge less for their services, and even willing to accept non-cash payment.)
Americans have absolutely no concept or experience with living in traumatic and difficult times, and it’s just that type of life that leads to more divorce, abuse of all kinds, child abandonment, etc. I would love to become a counselor just for times like these but I can’t see myself going back to school for a Masters.
Im back in school at 41 for a Masters. Quite a challenge!
