My oldest son, Michael (Mick) who just turned 27 last month, has been a Type 1 Diabetic with zero pancreatic function (and all the complications which that implies) since he was 12 years old.
About an hour ago, we received a call from the IU Medical Center Transplant Team, where he has been on the recipient list for about a year. They have a possible donor.
Mick is now en route to Indianapolis to begin the pre-op at 7AM.
Your prayers would be appreciated for both my son and for the salvation of the soul of the potential donor, who has just passed from this life.
Sent. And may God Bless.
Prayers for your son and the soul of the donor and the doner’s family.
Prayers for your son and for the donor. Stay strong.
Fingers are crossed and prayers are out for him and for a speedy recovery!
And bless the person who gave for him.
Oh, shibumo!!! That is incredible news! May G-d bless every step of the way for your son and all of you!!! I will SO be praying for you all.
Prayers for successful treatment.
Awww heck. I used to know how to avoid that particular typo. I am so excited for you and your family. And many blessings on the family who chose to offer such a gift.

We are keeping Shibumi, son Michael (who is likely getting his transplant today), and family, the teams of medical providers, as well as the donor’s soul and family in our prayers, and other possible organ recipients and their families, too.
Prayers! Keep us posted as you get the chance. Thanks.
